Fresh Corn Cutting Machine Exported to Vietnam

A food processing project in Vietnam recently purchased two fresh corn cutting machines to cut whole fresh corn into smaller pieces. Taizy configured the cutter in two sizes, 2.5 cm and 3.5 cm, according to customer requirements.

The order also includes spare cutting tools and shaft assemblies for 5 cm and 7 cm cutting specifications, providing customers with greater flexibility to meet different corn processing needs. These devices use a 380V/50Hz three-phase power supply, and each unit has a processing capacity of approximately 500 kilograms per hour.

Customer Background

The customer runs a small, family-owned food processing business in southern Vietnam. During the sweet corn harvest season, he directly purchases fresh corn from nearby farms, processes it into corn chips, and supplies them to local wholesalers and a few regional supermarket chains. The customer’s entire cutting process relies entirely on manual labor, resulting in high labor costs and a cutting speed that cannot keep up with demand.

Our Solution: Automating Fresh Corn Cutting

To address the customer’s growing production needs, we provided two TZ-1 fresh corn cutting machines, each with a capacity of about 500 kg/h.

The two machines were configured for different cutting sizes: one for 2.5 cm sections and the other for 3.5 cm sections. We also supplied additional knife and shaft sets for 5 cm and 7 cm cutting, allowing the customer to switch between section sizes as needed during production.

With a total designed capacity of about 1,000 kg/h, the two machines provide a significant increase in cutting capacity compared with the customer’s previous manual process. The standardized cutting process also helps produce more consistent corn sections while reducing the amount of repetitive manual work.

To make daily operation easier for the customer, we also provided installation and operating instructions, machine drawings, and a complete knife replacement and installation video.

Inside the crates, the equipment was properly fixed to minimize movement, while the machine components were arranged securely to reduce the risk of damage. This packaging method is commonly used for machinery exports and helps keep the equipment in good condition until it reaches the customer’s site.
