Namibia Customer Purchased Silage Wrapper Machine
A livestock farmer in Namibia recently invested in our Model 55-52 silage wrapper machine to improve forage preservation efficiency and reduce feed loss during the dry season.
Namibia has an arid and semi-arid climate, making silage preservation particularly important for cattle and sheep farming. To ensure year-round feed supply, the customer needed a high-density and easy-to-use baler capable of producing uniformly sized silage bales and providing reliable wrapping performance.
After detailed technical discussions and production planning, the customer finalized the order, specifying a customized configuration and stringent pre-shipment testing requirements.
Core specifications of the silage wrapper machine
| Engine power | 18HP electric start diesel engine |
| Bale size | 550 × 520 mm |
| Bale weight | 65–100 kg/bale |
| Bale density | 450–500 kg/m³ |
| Baling speed | 60–65 bales/hour (5–6 tons/hour) |
| Wrapping speed | 50–65 bales/hour (5–6 tons/hour) |
| Twine consumption | 2.5 kg/ton |
| Wrapping motor power | 1.1–3 kW, 3-phase electricity |
| Machine size | 2135 × 1350 × 1300 mm |
| Machine weight | 850 kg |
This baling and wrapping machine is designed to ensure that baled silage achieves a high compaction density, which is crucial for reducing oxygen during silage fermentation and can effectively improve feed quality and shelf life.

Customized configuration and spare parts package
To ensure long-term stability and minimize maintenance downtime, we have prepared a comprehensive spare parts package for our Namibian customer, including: 204 bearing components, 1 chain set, 4 bearings, 4 sprockets, 10 connectors, 2 chain tensioners, 1 blade, and 1 proximity switch.
The silage wrapper machine is also equipped with a PLC control cabinet (English interface), an automatic film cutting and feeding system, a support trolley, an air compressor, a toolbox, and an air pump (three-phase power), greatly facilitating immediate operation upon delivery.
In addition, to optimize the sealing performance of silage, we also supply high-quality stretch film and mesh fabric. These high-quality packaging materials ensure a tight seal, UV protection, and improved fermentation quality.

Strict pre-shipment testing and quality control
Before delivery to Namibia, we have stringent testing standards, which include not only trial runs before shipment of the entire machine but also special reinforcement checks, such as generator base palletizing, protective film wrapping around the motor mounting area, etc.

The hay bale wrapper’s chassis, towing frame, and large tires are all reinforced to withstand long-distance transport. Taizy is committed to protecting our customers’ interests with high-quality packaging materials and professional packaging machinery.
