Forage Chopper For Silage Stalks Cutting

Taizy forage chopper can cut the stalks of crops such as beans, corn, rice, wheat, and alfalfa for use as feed for animals like cattle, horses, sheep, geese, chickens, and ducks.

It can be driven by a 2.2 kW electric motor, or by a diesel or gasoline engine with three settings—long, medium, and short—to cut the stalks to different lengths according to the different feeding habits of various animals.

What are the highlights of this forage chopper?

• Our silage chaff cutter has a wide range of applications. It can chop both dry and wet stalks into lengths of 5mm, 11mm, and 15mm for different requirements of livestock feeding.
• After the update, our forage chopper can now cut 1.2t to 10t of silage per hour, which can not only support small and medium-sized farms, but can also make large-scale silage processing.
• Considering regional differences in energy supply, we offer three different energy supply methods: electric motor, diesel engine, and tractor(PTO).
• We support a variety of customization needs, including custom wheels, custom conveyor belts, and custom feeding methods etc.

Chaff cutter machine’s structure

The machine has a simple structure, mainly consisting of a feed inlet, a knife cavity, the power system, adjusting gears, and a discharge outlet.

Large machines typically have a conveyor belt installed at the feed inlet, as well as a support frame for easy connection to a tractor. If you have special requirements, we can also customize them to your needs, including colors, tires, etc.

Except for the 2A model, which is manual, all other medium to large-sized forage shredders are equipped with conveyor belts for automatic feeding. They can process coarse straw, long-fiber plants, and heavy forage, making them suitable for professional farms, cooperatives, and large-scale feed mills.

How to improve the efficiency of using a forage chopper?

• Keep the blades sharp and replace them regularly to ensure machine cutting efficiency.
• If feeding manually, provide a stable feed and avoid overloading the machine at once. If the feed is via a conveyor belt, be careful to avoid debris clogging the system.
• Regular maintenance is crucial for extending the machine’s lifespan. Frequently checking the lubrication of the chains and bearings, as well as inspecting fasteners, is necessary.

How to choose the most suitable forage chopping machine?

When purchasing, consider the following key factors:

• Estimate the required chopping volume per hour based on feed intake.
• Before feeding, determine the feed type is hay, straw, or a mixture.
